THE MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
HAS BEEN REPLACED BY THE
"PARCOURS PRÉVENTION SANTÉ"!
The Parcours Prévention Santé (PPS) is a scheme set up by the FFA (Fédération Française d'Athlétisme), aimed at all adult runners wishing to take part in a timed race that previously required a medical certificate less than a year old authorising the practice of sport in competition.
In practical terms, the PPS is an online course designed to raise awareness of the risks, precautions and recommendations associated with running, through educational content.
This initiative, which replaces the traditional medical certificate, aims to offer each rider a more in-depth process. It aims to
Improve prevention by focusing on the prevention of running-related injuries and health problems;
Promote education by raising runners' awareness of the importance of good health and well-being practices in sport
The PPS is a compulsory device for taking part in the Cannes Semi.
Anyone who is not an FFA* licence holder and over 18 years of age must complete a PPS in order to take part in the Semi de Cannes.
People non concerned:
*Only FFA ‘Athlé Compétition’, ‘Athlé Entreprise’ and ‘Athlé Running’ licences are exempt. FFA ‘Athlé Santé’, ‘Athlé Encadrement’ or ‘Athlé Découverte’ licence holders will have to complete the PPS to be able to take part in the Cannes Semi event.
Licences currently accepted under the 2023-2024 regulations (FCD, FFS, FFH, FSPN, ASPTT, FSCF, FSGT, UFOLEP) will no longer be accepted.
The PPS is valid for 3 months.
To take part in the Cannes Semi, the PPS will have to be completed from 24 November 2024.
